Half Moon Bay GTG

Alright folks I think we've nailed it down to Sunday, April 19th at around 12 in the afternoon. We'll meet up at my dads shop, look at cars, have access to two racks, Vida, and all that jazz. It'll be a day of ooohs and awws, and some mind bending questions as we maybe look at angel gears lol.

In addition to seeing you R folks, we might have some C30 guys join us, and of course the GTG isn't exclusive to just R's, any Volvo will do
Also, hopefully CJ, the new VOCA Chapter president will be stopping by, most likely in his 850R. After we've had our lot of looking, we can either get to driving if the weather permits or carry the conversation over to one of the many fine restaurants here in town.

Address
125 A, Main street
Half Moon Bay, CA, 94019
shops number: (650)726-2277
my cell just in case: (650)703-1538

If you need further directions after you google maps it or put it into your nav let me know or call the shop.

I hope to see yall there!

AARRGGHH...

I'm not gonna be back in California till around 5 May...

I would totally have been there. Wife and I stopped off in Half Moon Bay on our honeymoon, we toured Highway 1 on the California coast in my Mustang GT Convertible back in '93, so I probably could have convinced the whole family to go and just stepped out for lunch or something.

Gonna be in Monterey, CA Jul 09 until Feb 2011 though, so maybe I can make the next one.

Re: Half Moon Bay GTG ("R" Kelly)

R Kelly well just have to have a GTG when you get back from your deployment.

I'm actually deployed to HOA right now as well, looks like im finally getting my R after all these years when I get back in a few weeks. You going to the Naval Post Graduate school there or DLI?

sorry for the noob comment, but what's a VIDA machine??
Re: (adp)

its not a machine, its a diagnostic program and library that only certified Volvo mechanics have access to. It enables the mechanic to check all internal systems of the car, and anything related to the cars computer. It also holds a library of every problem cataloged by volvo mechanics, which means when a customer comes in and says something like my breaks squeal when I do this, or I have a shimy in my steering wheel at this speed only, or I have wind noise from somewhere in my car, the mechanic can look it up and see if its a common problem and what the suggested solution is.

The problem with the program is you have to buy the license every time you open the program, which costs the mechanic about $150 every time. The program stays open for about 3 days however, so at least the mechanic can get his money out out it.

Hopefully that answers your question
