They throw off a nice white light, that's for sure. I started using them a couple of years ago and won't go back. I have had one blow in a couple years, so that's about average for my car.

I prefer them to the original equipment bulbs in everything but fog (more back-reflection). I shouldn't write this for fear of jinxing myself, but the set I have has now lasted almost as long as the original bulbs (at least the first of the two original bulbs to fail). Others have apparently not had the same luck.
