yup, i searched, but found nothing. i want a very aggressive drop, atleast 2". evolve this has not released their coilovers, but found this. anyone has info? my other option is airbags, which i am working on currently.

Hey that's good news, those are much cheaper than the KW's (and I can probably get them in Canada easier). I looked on H&R's site not long ago so these must be new.

Honestly, you can't really go wrong with H&R.

Do not put airbags on your car, they are garbage.

I am interested in anyones input on any coilover setup for the s40, but I don't think anyone on the board has done this yet. Once my Evolve rims get delivered, supposidly by the 21st of april (two months in waiting), I will be picking up a set of KW or HR coilovers to replace my Eibach springs.

Nothing like a 2" drop on some 19x8.5'' rims.

don't diss airbags. ive installed several setups and the ride is oh-so-smooth. im working on my s40 bag setup now, since cutting my springs did not work.

plus, airbagit.com (aka: aim industries) are junk. their listed setup will not work for out models. i tried ordering, but the tecks have no idea how the 2005+ models are setup. the front strut is different design at the sprindle.

You can go with a K+W set up and get like a 2 1/4 " drop or check out http://www.airbagit.com .

Yes you can get KW's but you can only get the Variant 2 which is quite expensive. The H&R's are cheaper but I just read the notes and it says that only the front is adjustable, how stupid is that?

IMO , we are fortunate enough to have cars that aren't WAY TOO HIGH to begin with. some cars even after a 1 1/2 " lowering still look too high. but even a moderate 30 mm lowering looks sporty on our rides. I love it low as possible but I'm probably going to stick with the 1.3" Heicos.

Is that still a coilover? I am confused, I thought he point of coilovers was the ability to adjust the height. I guess I wont be going with the H&R's

Yea, doesn't make sense to me either
but I don't think you can really call it a coilover (well the front maybe
)

A lot of companys will do this as an "affordable" option for car owners. Believe it or not, but 1300 bucks is cheap for a coilover for a volvo..

update. i called h&r and its a typo. the rear is adjustable. it has a patened lower spring perch that is adjustable. got a good price from a local tuner shop, $1200, and considering it.

Thats nice to know, thats a dam good price as well. Did they tell you how adjustable the rear is?
