SCC. Uhhuh. Volvo was generous enough to let us take a spin in the car while it was on tour here in Washington, DC. We'll have a full writeup on the car in the next couple of weeks.

It was pretty cool. The SCC2 (second generation car that actually drives) has a regularly aspirated 2.4 and auto tranny. It's not fully developed as a driver's car, so no craziness involved, but the technology is amazing. It's actually larger than it appears in photos also. I keep picturing it in my head as Golf sized, but it seems larger once you hop inside. I had our VWvortex Project Golf there yesterday, I should have parked them side by side to make a comparison.

No, not necessarily. The car is a showcase for Volvo's technology. They're still debating a similar design for the H or C 30. They like the design cues though, so something will probably happen.
I have some pics. I actually met up and drove it in the same place as the Fire & Ice Event. I have pics, not great ones as lighting was very bright and it was in a parkinglot at fedex field, but I got some shots and some sitting by the S60 Challenge car.

If "could of" were grammatically feasible, however, one could say "I of a Volvo" instead of "I have a Volvo".
Sorry to correct you like that, I know it's not polite from a technical standpoint, but there's a part of my brain that won't let up - the same part of my brain that made it possible for me to win the Northern California division state spelling bee championship waaaaaaay back in 1982 (unfortunately lost to an immigrant from Seoul who had to spell "isthmus", but I got stuck with "autochthonous -- to this day I still think that foul play was involved), and in addition I was a proofreader for an ad agency a number of years ago. Typographical and grammatical errors are everywhere these days, and more often than necessary, I am finding that American-born citizens are the ones responsible for them - makes me wonder about the education system here in the United States.
...and now back to our regularly-scheduled program
* this has got to be the gayest "controversy" filter I've come across - the four-letter word "knotsee" (pronounced phonetically) was filtered. I was trying to state that I was a "grammar natzi" (without the letter "t"), yet it refused to parse the letters n+a+z+i.
-he who stacks pork
