Frank at EST (yes, the folks who brought us the Strut tower brace V1 and V2 wants to know if there is an interest for a group buy on the drop in filter as labeled below. I know at least one person here who has the filter and until a CAI comes out that we can use our Evolve intake pipes on, this is a great solution.
Pipe in if you are interested.
**edit note* Cleaning kit with new oil is only $15 so you might want to get that at the same time.
1) HaZed
2) heico2.4i
3) xrdicepr (C30WOLRD.COM)
4) DaSwede1127 (C30WOLRD.COM)
5) Pudik (C30WOLRD.COM)
6) legc30 (C30WOLRD.COM)
7) hektikV50
8) Phil R
9) Phil R (second back up filter)
10) Delhibeli
11) Delhibeli (second back up filter)
12) Growndzkeeper (c30world.com)
13) Al_Florida
14) your name here (you know you want one or a second)

High Flow Sport Replacement Filter
High Flow Sport Replacement Filter Quantity in Basket: None
Code: VLE-150-101
RETAIL Price: US$59.00
Shipping Weight: 2.00 pounds
GROUP BUY PRICES:
5-9 $47 USD each plus shipping
10+ $40 USD each plus shipping
This thread is going on at C30 world also and we will combine the numbers to get the savings. You can see the add on c30world.com here :
http://c30world.com/forums/sho...05182

EuroSport Tuning Sport Replacement Filters!
If you think all performance replacement filters are the same think again. When we comparing our performance filters to major competitors the difference was striking. EuroSport Tuning air filters are engineered to produce extremely high flow rates, maximum filtration and long filter life. The EuroSport Tuning filter is the only filter that has been proven to protect your engine against particles as small as 2.8 microns. They are washable and reusable to maintain efficiency even when used.
EuroSport Tuning high performance, high flow OE air filters replaces the restrictive factory paper filter and lets your engine breathe better. Paper filters do a good job in keeping dirt out but can clogged easily so that it needs to be replaced frequently. Foam filters also clogs easily. A washable/reusable, cotton gauze filter like EuroSport Tuning filters allow more airflow and are washable and reusable.

Overall the following characteristics sets EuroSport Tuning filters apart from competition:
- Deeper pleats. Provides more surface area to increase air flow and cleaning. For each application engineers calculate pleat depth vs. airflow ratio to provide the most airflow.
- Advanced rubber compound provides better sealing and more surface area for unparalleled filtration and performance. Another benefit from this advanced rubber compound is less bleeding into the cotton during the manufacturing process which results in as much as 10% better air flow then competitors products. More air means more horsepower potential.
- "U" shape pleats. If the pleats are zig zag shape airflow dies at the tip of pleats. EuroSport Tuning uses "U" shape to capture all the air entering the filter. See the rounded tips like a dolphin's nose. Others are more triangular and pointed. This rounded design allows the air to flow more efficiently around the tops of the pleats. Not only that, because it is rounded, the pleats aren't tightly pinched and let's air flow through the tops and bottom of the pleats. These features allow EuroSport Tuning filters to breathe better.
- Precision layering of cotton produces highly consistent filtration rates. EuroSport Tuning air filters use four layers of 100% surgical cotton gauze, similar to many other filters on the market. However, the use of modern methods of layering material deniers makes our filters significantly more efficient and consistent throughout the production. This is in contrast to our competitor who use old technology, feeding cotton layers separately into the pleating machine which creates inconsistency between production batches.
- Unique galvanized steel mesh construction provides unequal durability and flexibility. EuroSport Tuning filters use a galvanized steel blue plastic-coated mesh which provides a stronger, more durable filter which is less susceptible to damage. Our competitors use black painted aluminum that can easily damage during installation.
All EuroSport Tuning filters are backed by a Limited Lifetime Warranty.
Attached Images

__________________
Factory 5 MK3 Roadster....................in my 5 year plan
2004 XC70 2.5T .............................the lovely wife's daily driver
2008 C30 T5..................................the 149 MPH rocket

Modified by Phil R at 4:21 AM 7-6-2009

Modified by Phil R at 4:35 AM 7-6-2009

Modified by Phil R at 4:36 AM 7-6-2009

Modified by Phil R at 8:01 AM 7-10-2009

Modified by Phil R at 11:04 PM 7-10-2009

Modified by Phil R at 11:08 PM 7-10-2009

Modified by Phil R at 12:10 AM 7-13-2009

Modified by Phil R at 12:17 AM 7-13-2009

Modified by Phil R at 4:23 AM 7-13-2009

OEM's are about 35$ before tax... so you'd be paying about the same for this aftermarket performance filter.

Re: (HaZed)

Still waiting on the numbers. We have three interested/committed on C30world.com, so the numbers are low right now. I want to keep this up a week before I go back to Frank.
The S40 and C30 are plagued with no real solution (unless you want to pay a ton) for true cold air induction AND the use of the Evolve turbo intake pipe. This filter is a bargain and one that we are planning on using until a good solution for the CAI is developed. Users with a T5 did notice an increase in turbo whine (even if slight). We are looking at developing an affordable CAI that uses a cone filter and keeps the ECU right next to the filter and in the stream of air.
As you can see, the OEM filter is priced nearly the same, but it does not have the limited lifetime warranty. Frank at EST ships lightning fast and the site is secure.
Should I put you down for one HaZed?

Any combustion engine is going to benefit from more air to the engine. I cannot say that one will benefit more than the other.

I was just thinking. For those of you who already own this filter, maybe you would want to buy a second (for $40 assuming we cross the 10 buyer threshold) so that you can be running one in your car, and a second one in your garage being cleaned and oiled. That way there is never a concern of the oil getting to your MAF as your filter will be dried before you need to replace it. Also, the down time of your car will only be limited by the amount of time it takes to swap the filter! Something to chew on before this deal closes!

Re: Group buy on EST drop in High Performance Air Filter for 2.4i and T5 (Phil R)

I will be closing this group buy on Sunday and will be posting the link to the source at EST at that time. We still have time to get three more people or more accurately 3 more filters sold to make the total ten at $40 per filter vs $47.
As Arnold loved to say....." I'll be baaack."

I am not a member there. Can someone who is a member there post this up? I don't need another user name and password or URL to remember.

Re: (jdsr917)

Are you interested in one of these filters since you are back to stock configuration? At least then you will have an aftermarket filter and will have a bit more whistle from the Turbo, and your ECU will be cooled also.
