I've spent the last week searching for the perfect blue dial watch to match the beautiful blue dials on the R. I think it's the best blue out there. I actually wanted an automatic watch, but this dial only came in quartz. I can live with that. I did look at the Omega Bond watch in person and wasn't too impressed (with the shade of blue). This blue on the Tag is very bright and is a pretty good match to the R dials.
Here's a few pics I snapped today.

Here's a few taken at night. Nice watch! It looks much better in your pictures than on the Amazon page:

Are you going to sell the watch with the R???
Now you need to have QuickBrick outline the bezel in blue/black carbon fiber and paint the luminecent hands red!!!

- Tryg

Chuck, George doesn't have internet access at his new house yet -- I've cleared out the posts. He has been hitting up a coffee shop to check mail. If you have any more issues feel free to drop me a note. thanks.

Re: Got my blue dial Tag Heuer watch (Quick Brick)

Here's a Movado that I've seen. It has a pretty blue dial too.

Very simple design...

If you can find an ESQ Defiant, it is a pretty good match with the gauges. Silver and blue, and it will not set you back a few car payments. Had it for about 2 years now and haven't seen anything closer to the dials yet. I couldn't figure out how to post a pic, so you will have to google it to get a general idea. Here is the best net pic that I could find.
http://www.ewatches.com/media/...4.jpg

I went a little crazy with my Tag today after washing my car.

New sponsorship???? My Rolex Datejust is 15 years old, keeps great time, and has never needed any maintenance at all. I only have 1 notable quartz, and that is my Rado. I bought it for it's unique materials and durability.
BTW, a new battery for your quartz every year or two is more maintenance than any of my autos require. Has nothing to do with jewelry/status for me. I enjoy watching all things mechanical, kind of like my R .

I want to get some more aluminum trim look on the driver's side like you did. Sure, QuickBrick, send me some of your trim pieces....since that's your business now I know why you're so good at it.

Never needs a battery (solar powered), never needs the time adjusted (daily NIST atomic clock synchronization). Always 100% working and accurate. Can't beat that for an everyday watch. Not that the automatics can't be wonderful hunks of intricately choreographed parts, but a little person inside me wonders if they are going the way of the steam engine...
