Since I might be selling my R really soon, I thought it might not be worthwhile to get the most exensive tire in town. 235/40/18
So I shopped for Kumho and Toyo, while Toyo is still quite expensive for a so-so brand (about $170 each) and Kumho($120) are always out of stock, this dealer sold me this Kumho competitor called NEXEN. at $100 dollars each plus labor cost I walked out of the door paid only $490 .
Now comes the best part: It is actually more stable than Pirelli!! no drifts over bumps, albeit a little more road noise on comfort mode, it isn't bad.
I still get tire rubs just like Pirelli, but I guess I can live with that for now.

Re: Got a brand new set of no-name tires called NEXEN (stevectsai)

One more thing... for those who are interested in Kumho, and I know there are tons of people in R forum who uses Kumho, they have a sale going on right now for all sizes. I would say you can get a set of 4 for less than $450. the only draw back is most SoCal retail stores I visited they all said they've sold out of them and won't get them for another week or so.
