Just hit the 10k mark with my Goodyear F1s on the R and I am completely happy with these tires - so much that I'll probably buy another set when these go. Don't think I've bought the same tire twice before.
The grip is excellent, wet or dry, and there is no howling in the corners. Steering response is not quite as crisp as some others, but still plenty quick enough. Just about eliminated the rear side-hop the R is known for and it's very quiet as well. It has a substantial rim protector bead and the only negative is that it has a slightly wider shoulder than the OEM Pirellis, so the front steering-lock rub is a bit worse.
Over half the tread is still left, so looks like 20k might be a reasonable mileage target. They can be had in 235/45-YR17 for less than $170 each at Tire Rack.
Re: Goodyear F1s after 10k miles (TomW)

As I write this my F1's are being put on my new Heico's and I'm pretty pumped to pick them up tomrorow and get them on my car. Can't wait to see how the tires work out...

I've seen some improvement with the bushing/software fix, a little bit more with the rear IPD sway, but it is still the one thing that bugs me the most about this car.
thanks
Ken

Re: Goodyear F1s after 10k miles (kenschel)

I've not done any suspension mods or repairs regarding the side-hop, nor even made it an issue with the dealer, so the improvements are solely due to the tires.
