Howdy -
Just because I'm bored, and my daugter is asleep, I thought I'd let you know what I've found in my mail box lately.
In the past month I've received two packages from VCNA (Western Region). Both were unannounced, and were surprises to me. The first one especially -
From the first big box (about a month ago), I pulled out a white polo shirt with a V70 embroidered on the breast in grey (and "Volvo" on the left sleeve). Then, under the shirt, was a mini Leatherman multi-tool with "Volvo" engraved on it. No note, nor any clue why it was sent to me. Nice quality stuff...just don't know why I deserved it. Maybe it was my scathing response to the dealer satisfaction survey?
Then just the other day, I get a note from the postman that I have a registered letter from Volvo waiting for me at the Post Office. I trudge on down there thinking some nice stainless steel mugs were on the way, and to my surprise, I find a replacement lug wrench in the package. This is meant to replace the usless, stupid little "bent tube" wrench-like adapter that screws onto the end of the tow eye. The second day I owned the car, I insisted that it be replaced, and was told it was supposed to be replaced during pre-delivery inspection, since they already had a wrench replacement program in place. Anyway, now I have two of the "new" wrenches. Are they sending this to everybody?
Anyway, I thought maybe somebody would be interested in the mysterious ways of VCNA.
- Darell
