I'm looking at an 07 XC90 V8, 36k miles, Volvo CPO at a Volvo dealer, all options except Executive Package, BLIS and rear view camera, Titanium Grey with Sovereign Hide Chestnut interior for around 34k. Rip off or decent price? I know I could get one for less but time's short, the Wife like the color combo, a CPO is required and I want it loaded.
Re: good price for 07 V8? (pigeon)

Too pricey considering the miles. Make them a counter offer and see what happens.

Re: good price for 07 V8? (MagoonR)

They're asking 37k without the bluetooth installed. I asked for a bottom line price and was told 35k. Edumunds TMV says 34 is about right, and they tend to be in the middle price-wise. The problem I have is finding fully loaded non-silver or white cars is hard and I only have a couple weeks until the Wife's current Honduh Pilot lease is up, so I may have to overpay a bit vs if I could wait it out.

If its got Nav and DVD, that's 2k on top of comparables without. In my 6 month search, the chesnut interior ones went pretty quick, they didn't have to deal much on them. Folks seem to fall in love with that color and will pay. So, for a 2 year old vehicle with 36k miles already, may be a bit high, but that color combo is very popular. For comparison, I paid 23.5k for my 06 with 32k miles, in January, with CPO, but no Nav or DVD. And the dealer had sat on it since the previous September, so was a little anxious to move it.
And my color combo may have been difficult to sell, as it is willow Green with charcol interior. The only green one I saw in all that time that didn't have a Taupe int. But, that is an $11k difference for a one MY difference with less miles. $9k if you count the Nav and DVD. Personally I think its still a little high in this market.
I checked the VIN's of all the cars at the local dealers to see how long they had them, and what was moving. The V8's weren't, but seemed to have picked up some now. However, here in the Northwest, they are not picking up a lot of V8s off auction anymore. Nor are they ordering very many new V8s. Pushing the 3.2s.
That chesnut int. is very hard to resist!!

I was *this* close to putting down a $2k non-refundable deposit on the Titanium Grey I originally posted about when I got a call from a closer (but still 6 hours away) dealer - they just got my perfect car, and the price was right so I jumped. 2007 V8, CPO, 22k miles, Magic Blue over Sovereign Hide brown, all factory options except chrome wheels. It's the color combo I wanted, it has all the toys and goodies, They're installing the bluetooth interface for me. Driving it home next week for $32,250 + tax & tags. That is right at NADA value, which I consider to be low. I probably could have worked the deal and saved $500 or so, but I wasn't going to find another car like this for this money in the next 2 weeks, which is all the time I have. It was fate, I was literally 5 minutes from putting down the deposit on the Ti car. Now I'm getting exactly what I wanted, with fewer miles, for less money.

If it's the perfect car, paying a little more is worth it since you'll be driving it a little longer than a leased car (in my case anyways). A thousand more is only less than a dollar a day if I keep it for at least 3 years. I'll probably keep the XC90 and lease my sporty convertibles.
I "stole" mine when the gas prices was high and white isn't that popular compared to silver, grey and black. I specifically wanted Pearl White and tan/mocca interior. Just for comparison, I paid $25k + tax etc for 07 V8,14k on the clock, pearl/mocca combo w/ Nav, BT, ABL, heated seats, Rear assist, Dyna etc all options except DVD which at this time, I don't not need it.
Congrats on your new ride! The first thing I would do is change out the tires. It turned mine into a luxury ride than just another SUV. There're many thread on this topic.
