Re: Good looking Blk '00 R (83caddy16v)
wow, this puppy was CLEAN! If it wasn't for two minor scratches and a slight impression on the center console trim piece this car looks brand new. The paint is in excellent condition, the interior is beautiful, carpet and floor mats look new.
There were three of us in the car on the test drive it has a little lag down low, like the other hi-pressure turbo Volvos I've driven. I didn't get on it really hard but it drove very nice and handled very well with the 17" Nitto tires. the window tint is pretty dark but that will be good for our baby in the back. This was the first wing that I had seen on a V70 and I like how it is not drilled on, it clips on. The chrome wheels look better in person than in the picts, I wasn't sure I was going to like them.
I took a closet door mirror with me and slid it under the car, everthing looked bone dry and after the test drive I kept the engine running and popped the hood...no oil smells. the only negative was one of his rear wheels is out of balance (or so it seemed to be an out of balance wheel.)
24,500 miles on this puppy and I think I will be hard pressed to find a nicer 2000 R. The owner seems like a very nice and very particular individual. I asked if I could have a local shop go over the car and he was fine with that. if all goes will with the inspection I think I may have found my new V70.
