What is the best dealer to work with in the Bay Area? I have a 2004 V70R with lots of warranty issues, big surprise.
I tried Putam Volvo, but was disappointed by their service and didn't appreciate my headlights pointing at the ground and having to drive back.
I heard there was someone in the community from a dealership in the Bay Area.
Any thoughts are greatly appreciated

Smythe Volvo in San Jose is where I bought my car. Haven't had any warranty issues yet, but they're mod friendly.

Go to Smythe Volvo in San Jose - the Capitol Expwy one. Go see Mike Ramsey. He is my service advisor, a fellow R owner, and very knowledgeable. He is a good guy and will take care of you.

McKevitt in San Leandro has been very good to me. I have had some major issues resulting in the replacement of flywheel, clutch, pressure plate, transmission, and angle gear. They have also installed after market parts for me. Junior is a very knowledgeable and thorough service advisor.

For those who live in the So. Cal. (San Gabriel Valley) area and would like good independent Volvo service, I would like to recommend Volvo Car Clinic in Glendora\San Dimas. He does everything from oil change to software downloads and charges only a fraction of what dealers would charge you. Best of all, he's an honest guy.
McKevitt/San Leandro has been good for me. No personal experience myself but coworkers have recommend Smothers up in Santa Rosa. Good luck.
Dan

Mckevitt is pretty good service-wise. Either berkeley or san leandro. I also have an awesome independent mechanic in Fremont that I take my 850 to (Volvo Diagnosis).

Re: (dwegmull)

I've been pretty happy with the service at Smythe Volvo on Capital in San Jose as well (also purchased at this dealership). Wasn't too impressed with Palo Alto dearlership on El Camino...more so with their sales guys though. Had limited R knowledge at best.........
