Hi all,
Does anyone have recommendations for a really good body shop in SF, peninsula or east bay? Some idiot in a parking lot tagged my R.. right at the gas filler. The paint isn't damaged, just metal all beat up, so I'm holding out a very faint hope that maybe it can just be massaged back into place.. I hate (HATE) bondo jobs. Thanks,
Lucas.

I had work done on both my BMW and Volvo at Cooks in Walnut Creek. That was years ago, but they are still there, so that must say something.
They are not cheap, but they did do good work.
You might check with the Volvo dealer in Berkely, McKevitt I think, however to that crowd a 122S is a new car.

I've had good luck at El Camino Body in Santa Clara as well as Bay Cities Collision Center in Burlingame.

I think I used Bay Cities once before and wasn't too happy (paint didn't match well). From looking around so far there there doesn't seem to be much concensus on which places are best..

Fernandos on Fell Street (near Van Ness) in San Francisco. He put my smashed up 240 DL back together and did a fine job.
