So going to schedule my last in warranty service. I have some speaker rattle in the front passenger door, wind noise by the A pillar driver side, from a full stop in snow the front wheels slipped and it didn't feel like the rears kicked in to help. Anything else out there I should ask the dealer for? It's an 11 T6. Maybe you guys have some ideas on any service bulletins I may have missed lately.

Insist on pad measurements! After probably spending $20k or more at the dealer (on brakes alone) on Volvos over the past 7-8 years, the same dealer that has previously insisted that pads and rotors must be done together replaced front rotors but not pads and rear pads but not rotors at around 40k miles. Then two weeks ago my fronts began to grind...Yep, one pad wore out and ate the rotor by the time I could have it changed. So I ponied up the $$$ for rotors and pads. That was the 1st real chicken sh!t dealer (perhaps Volvo S&S) issue I've faced. Other than when the same technician at that 40k appointment wouldn't replace wiper blades that were way hosed...right before the rainiest spring in the history of Texas. Jerk. I would have paid cash myself if I'd been advised. Same for the front pads.

Insist on pads! Volvo can't hang with the S&S concept.

I still have remainder of factory on my 13 RD. I also have a CPO to 100k from my dealer. After the last service the tech suggested that the rear pads be replaced. So why did he not replace them for free if under warannty.

Safe + Secure includes wear items such as pads; warranty does not. Which do you have?

For those just tuning in, S + S is a sales promo that Volvo has offered from time to time. In addition to a lengthened warranty, it also includes replacement of certain specified items for wear. Volvo will also sell you this type of coverage, but I don't recall the name they give it when they sell it.

Safe and Secure is independent of the warranty program and covers service.

Since you have CPO I assume you are the second owner. Safe and Secure transfers to new
owners if the car was originally sold. It does not transfer if the car was originally leased.
You can contact Volvo North America and send them your VIN and they can check all of
that for you. http://www.volvocars.com/us/footer/contact-us

Next Tuesday for my last one. 43K miles. No major issues on my car so I have only
asked them to check the brake pads (and use synthetic oil, I pay the difference). I'm
leaving it for the day so they will have time to fix anything needed they find. I'll probably
pull the wheels this weekend and measure/inspect the brakes myself first. Other then that,
I have nothing else for them to do other than the normal service.

Battery was replaced a couple months ago when starting was easily observed to be
slow -- that would be a big one if not already done.
