Hello:

I need to know where to purchase glass tube fuses for my 92 Volvo 240. I have tried ipd but they sale the plastic ones called ceramic. I am in DC and summer is comming. I've cleaned the contacts, etc. I was able to find a set of 16s at Advanced auto parts ordered some more and they sent the wrong ones and didn't carry the glass tube ones any more. So I am looking for some more.

Re: Glass Tube Fuses (RobbyCU)

Here is the Buss catalog (pdf - searchable)

http://www.bussauto.com/shared...t.pdf

Once you get the Buss part numbers for the glass fuses you need use

http://www.google.com/advanced_search?hl=en

to find online vendors.

Much as been said about using "dielectric" grease on the 240 fuse contacts.

This stuff is "neutral" to conducting electricity and can prevent that "growth" between fuse contact and fuse holder.

You might consider a group purchase of a large quantity of fuses if enough 240 lovers are interested.

Re: (DVolvoguy777)

there is. you just simply have to make it. i plan on trying it with a couple different fuse panels from the jy, trying different designs, cuttin em up, soldering them together, testing it (not on the car), testing it (the neighbors car when they are asleep).... ok i was kidding about that last one.
