I bought a pair from ebay. Damn, it sure looks like a great deal...BUT I have no experience with these tires. I have been using Michelin "Arctic Alpin" snow, and have been quite happy with them.
any comments on the Gislaveds?
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...%3AIT

Re: Gislaved NordFrost II snowtires (RussBert)

I had the same tires on my last car and they worked quite well. Gislaved and Nokian are really the best snow tire manufacturers, IMO.

Good snow tires that can be run with studs if desired. The only consideration I see is that the NordFrost 3 has been out for several years and so your tires may have been sitting around for some time. If they were stored properly there is probably nothing to worry about. Tires have a useful life span of no more than a decade.
Summer stinks, think snow!
