Have a 2004 S60R and keep getting a clicking/buzzing sound, like its picking up a cell phone signal. I've only seen 1 other post that someone else gets this same sound. It sounds like it is coming from the top of the car, very weird. Any ideas on what it is and maybe how to turn it off?
Thanks

I have it in mine....comes from the Center Channel speaker....it just the cell signal interfering with the stereo.....if you have Nextel, the "ticking" can be pretty bad.

Yeah, its coming from your center speaker (I am almost positive as this happens in my dad's car also) and thats why it sounds like its from above you. Its simply the cell phone waves (whatever) interfering with the speakers, it also happens with computer speakers.
If your next to computer speakers, try to call someone on your cell phone, usually it happens.

Re: Getting a clicking/buzzing interior noise, cellphone ? (DesertR)

Do you, or any of your passengers have a cellphone in the car when this occurs?

Nextels put out awful interference, and can make clicking / ticking on speakers that are even turned off.

I get this sound from my 04's center speaker only when
A. My cell phone is on and close to the dash area
B. I am fairly close proximity(meaning I can see it either infront of me or in my rear view mirror) to my Air Force Base's "Airport Surveillance RADAR" antenna (the spining parabolic antenna near airports used for Air Traffic Control)

Re: (Velvet_Jones)

Thanks to all who responded. This sound does happen when I have a cell phone in the car and turned on. It usually happens in the same 2-3 area's that I travel in. I didn't know if this was an "internal" type signal that could be turned on or off, but now I know. Thanks again.
