Hi guys, I've been a owner for 3 months and I love my car, but like many of you, heck most of you, I just can't stop moding cars...
Here is my problem, I bought 3 blitz gauges, boost, ext temp, oil pressure. But now I have no one to install for me. Which is kind of weird, since I do live in Southern California... I mean there is a performance shop/tuner store around every corner!
But I called around all day today asking if anyone can install these gauges on my 2006 S60r gt... none of them would...
I called brainstorm and they said, it's too complicated, they don't do it. I called zen and some other volvo specialist, all in all about 15 shops but most of them said they have NEVER installed anything like it before, a couple of shops said they would be willing to "look" at it and "try"...
I did have one reputable shop quote me $800 to install them, and they said, we've never done it on a volvo, you would have to sign a waver that if we fry your ecu it is not our fault...
so I am out of idea. I don't want to goto a shop that have never done a guage install...even if they ARE volvo specialists...
so can anyone recommand a shop in southern california that actually had experience installing the blitz gauges in our cars?
Any info would help. One shop told me if I give them a ecu wireing diagram, they can prob do it.... "probably" just did not gave me much faith...
anyways, if anyone can point me to the right shop it will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you all!

I dont have any experience with any other gauges for my car, so i couldnt tell you about those. a search should yield some knowledge, though.

i would have told you to nix one of the gauges, but since you have three of the good gauges and i wouldn't call any one of them pointless, its time to get designing. talk to xenophobic as im sure he can help you. remember, keeping them off your A-pillar is best for your initial design because of airbag force. do you have the premium package? if not, maybe you can use the center speaker grill since the speaker is absent.

Actually me and my friends fabricated a mount that will set on the dash on top of the center speaker. It looks ok... I am not 100% satisfy with it, but it will do for now... as soon as I can find someone to install them!

Re: (phuz)

Yeah, we made it to fit 3 gauge and a turbo timer. I know we don't really need the turbo timer... but coming from a RX7 I just miss having my car run after I take the key out...
I will post some picture of it when I get the chance.
