I'm out here in LA and talking to a friend who's looking into these gas pills. What do you guys think? Especially Matt I'd be interested in your opinion. Just food for thought. Interesting idea.
Here's the link: http://driveandsave.mybpbiz.com/index.asp?pgid=13

Re: Gas pills (soledoc)

This is simply a marketing company. I would put absolutely no value in their claims. They claim the following:
"These tests were conducted at ISO* 9000 accredited laboratories."
This is not really all that impressive. ISO 9000 rating simply means that they do things consistent according to their established procedures. They could be doing things consistently wrong!

Now, if the laboratories were ISO 17025 certified, then that would mean something to me as this certification indicates that the lab is following proven procedures with a functioning quality assurance program in place.
Also, read the disclaimer:
"Disclaimer: BioPerformance™ , Inc. guarantees the use of BioPerformance™ Fuel to be safe to use in any internal combustion engine. If BioPerformance™ , Inc. can be shown in any test to have damaged any internal combustion engine, BioPerformance™ , Inc. will replace the damaged parts of the engine for free of charge. Any and all testimonies are NOT intended directly or indirectly to guarantee you in any way with similar savings. The testimonies have not been proven in any way by BioPerformance™ , Inc. to be true, because they are simply people sharing their results from using BioPerformance™ Fuel. The testimonies are valuable replies from your fellow Americans. Each reply is believed to be true in its content. These stories are not backed by independent research, so you must evaluate them for yourself and then let us hear your own story."
There are no scientific studies showing the value of this product. There are no identified comments from any industry experts regarding this product. Their convention video looks like its a Pentecostal Revival.
I think its a marketing scam...a get rich quick scheme that is preying on the peoples' desire to become more fuel efficient.
There is ABSOLUTELY NO WAY I would pay for this or put it in my tank for free.

Re: Gas pills (OilAnalyst)

So after I made the comment above, I went back and read the profiles of the President and Vice President:
http://driveandsave.mybpbiz.co...gid=2
I think you'll see my humor there.
Also, for the two founders of this company whose focus is to reduce fuel consumption and help the consumer...their only expertise is network marketing. Interesting.

Re: Gas pills (soledoc)

I agree with oilanalyst 110%. The product is nonsense and the purpose of their website is really a slick attempt to build a multi-level marketing scheme. This kind of stuff turns up every time gas prices have big spike. Read their disclaimer. Those pills could be almost anything and there is absolutely NO proof or assurance that they do anything except luightne your wallet. Expect to see these guys on the 6 o'clock news when their scheme goes from multi-level to pyramid. What they are doing is unethical and amoral. Can you say Ponzi or flim-flam?

Re: Gas pills (MrTippy)

That's exactly what I thought. A big triangle marketing scheme. You would have to pay $500 to sign up before you even get the pills and could EVEN TRY THEM!!! This guy, a minister, should be put in jail. How can these things even be legal? Or are they???

Re: Gas pills (soledoc)

Boy this guy is something else. I googled again and found this: http://www.startsavingmoneyong...y.htm. I'll bet his ministry is just a (legal?) tax shelter. And what better way to solicit unknowing trusting individuals than through a evangelical christian wenbsite; save your soul & gas at the same time?
This website name has to be my favorite: http://www.gasnutrition.com/; "Detoxifies & Cleans Your Body of: Poisons, Parasites, Chemicals, Bacteria & Toxins"
This looks like it is one BIG scam; hope it gets its 15 minutes of fame on 20/20 or the like.
Sign me: a fool and his money are soon parted.
p.s. Gotta love that big hair.
