For the first time ever, the Volvo V60 prototype has been captured on film. This elusive wagon was found testing way up in the north of Sweden ahead of its debut.

Based on Volvo's SPA platform, the V60 will share a chassis with the larger V90 (as well as with everything else in the 90 and 60 series).

As we expect the V60 to be a 2020 model, it will be subject to Volvo's self-imposed rules on electrification--that is, everything must be electrified. Since this car was found filling up at a gas station, we presume it will be a hybrid. It could use anything from a mild-hybrid system to a plug-in hybrid system (like the XC90 T8) and maybe even both.

The testing of the V60 also heralds the approach of the S60, which will be almost identical but for the fact that it will be a sedan.
