Topic is from a new member. Anyone have news as to the possibility of an XC50? If so, details of features and availability. I read recently the XC50 was delayed due to FoMoCo's priority for the Rover product... if true, another bad decision by Ford.
I haven't heard anything of it recently, but I do remember reading that the some similiar platform related to the S40 and Focus was planned to be used in the Freelander a long, long time ago.
Here's a link that gives some info:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_C1_platform

A few months back I did a focus group for Volvo here in Orange County. They showed us pictures of potential new cars and we told them whether or not we liked them (and were watched by Volvo designers who were flown in from Sweden behind the one-way glass). Although they didn't give us details on price (because they wanted us to tell them how expensive the car looked), I would say that they would be some sort of an XC50 that would be priced around $30,000. It was a crossover looking car that was definatley too small to be a replacement for the XC90.
