We all know these two fuses in the engine bay are the ones to pull to recent the ECU to factory spec. I am wondering if something changed on MY06 since there is no fuse #23 in the engine compartment according to my owners manual. Fuse 6 is still the starter engine, but what was/is fuse #23? I'd like to give this a try since the car was feeling a little sluggish today (and yes, I put 100 octane mix in).

Re: Fuse 6 & 23 on MY06 (flybynight)

I think you can also drive it around for a little bit more to see if the ECU will respond to the change. I put in 6 gal of 100 Octane and did not reset the ECU. But after driving it for a while, I did notice the midrange being more responsive...

Well, I use 100 octane every time I fill.

If I recall correctly, #23 was labled ECM

Yeah, looks like a new wiring scheme. Fuses #12 and #19 seem to be the 2006 assignments: http://apps.volvocars.us/owner...pg158
Tom.

So, actually 6, 12 and 19. 6 will still disconnect the starter motor.

Re: (flybynight)

Why #6? That looks to be purely the starter in MY06 - have you discovered it supplies the ECM too? For your purpose pulling it is not needed.
It appears that MY05's fuse #6 is equivalent to MY06's #12, and MY05's #23 is MY06's #19. It's interesting that MY05's fuse #22 (starter relay) is a 25A fuse, but MY06's equivalent (#6) is a 35A.
Tom.
