My R is an 05 VR and I'm getting two part numbers for the PEM off VIDA.
30742823 is for chassis #'s 541131 and under.
30769225 is for chassis #'s 541132 and over.

My chassis is 520118 so I need 30742823, but I'm having a bit more trouble finding this one over the other. I got a little click happy and ordered the newer version, 30769225.

What is the difference between the two? Some sources say they are the same.

If I had an SR the chassis break occurs at 509561 which points me to the newer version.

I bought a used one from a member for 45$ It came out of a car that had it mounted on the inside from the factory. I took my old one apart and it looked good but for a few $$ it was worth it. good luck!

It looks like one of the differences between the two part numbers is a plastic tank vs metal tank. Why would this be important for a PEM? Still trying to figure this out. I'm thinking the later version is improved in some way?

I have had 30769225 installed now for a few weeks now and I can confirm that there is no functional difference between the two p/n's for these PEM's. The internal components match each other.

Hope this will help anybody out there looking at PEM's. 30769225 is easier to find and cheaper.

Old thread but...

I just want to echo what Sachio said above.

- I have a PEM I removed from a junk yard (2004 V70 2.5T with metal tank), PN 30769225.
- My 2005 XC90 2.5T with 120K miles has the PN 30742823.
I removed PN 30742823 and installed PN 30769225: it worked perfectly for weeks, zero issues whatsoever!

- I am not an engineer but to me, these 2 parts are interchangeable.

Hope this helps someone out there trying to use these 2 parts...

Hello; I dont have VIDA/DICE but I do have a car I cant drive. It runs good for about 30 minutes then, I cannot take it above 3300 rpms, when I limp home I plug in my ODB II and I get P0087 AND P0089. The fuel pump was changed by the previous owner and I have the PEM out and in my hand, it is part 30769225. I dont want to just replace parts so how do I test WTF is going on ?
