Today, I'm picking up an '06 V70R 6MT, so my current car must go. (I was going to wait for the '08 redesign, but the current incentives were too good to pass up.)

Bought new in 1999, this car has been meticulously maintained from day one (with help from the great info I've gotten here on SS). Like all 2000 R's, it has 5 sp. auto, dual exhaust, 261 hp stock, AWD.

Currently 54,xxx miles

First few oil changes were Kendall dino 10-30 for break-in, switched to Mobil 1 @8,819 mi., which I've used exclusively since @ approx. 3.5 to 4.5 K intervals, depending on use. Transmission fluid flushed @ 37,749 and replaced with Mobil 1.

I have all service records. Except for a few warranty issues, all work was done by a very good local Volvo-only independent shop.

Upgrades: IPD ECU, Sport Exhaust, anti-sway bars installed on 4/4/04 @ 37,749 mi. Car is hardwired for Valentine One, and I recently added the IPD Ipod adaptor.

Summer tires are Toyo Proxes 4 with about 6,000 mi. on them. Included are four Nokian Hakka. Q snows mounted on steel wheels(see last pic in link provided below).

This car is in excellent shape and has never been abused - the bulk of the mileage is from ferrying my daughters, who play on travel hockey and soccer teams, to away games.

The paintwork is in excellent shape. The clearcoat is deep and virtually no swirl marks. A couple of minor nicks on bumper covers, etc. The only real cosmetic issue is from the effects of salt in the engine compartment - whitish scale on aluminum and galvanized parts (see pics).

The IPD ECU reflash was overriden a couple of weeks ago when the dealer downloaded the new ETM software, but I will have it reinstalled unless the buyer wishes otherwise.

The car has remaining warranty coverage, through Guardian Warranty, through 7/30/07 or 100K, with zero deductible - very comprehensive, bumper-to-bumper.

I will be glad to answer any detailed questions from serious buyers. Feel free to email me.

Price is $17,500.

I had trouble posting pictures here, but may be seen at this link.

Sure hope you used Mobil 3309, NOT Mobil 1 for the tranny.

That's the ONLY stuff to be used in AisinWarner 5 speed trannies

(Got it to work on IE, good 'ol AOL was blocking it for some reason)

Re: FS: Laser Blue 2000 V70R w/ Upgrades (soledoc)

More than the 15, or did that link not work for you?

As to ATF, as I recall it was Mobil 1 synthetic, but at the shop where it was done, I don't think any of the techs has less than 15 years or so Volvo experience, so I tend to trust them.

OK...I see the pics now. Looks nice. Very tempting...but I don't think I could drop 17G right now although I could probably get between 9-10G for my saffron wagon. this would be a nice upgrade to 261HP and then I'd have a sonic blue and laser blue volvo!

on TME's website, I think they've eek'd out a few more HP to around 320 -- I think that may include the XC90 exhaust manifold and additional ECU tweaking.

Great looking R. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

Re: FS: Laser Blue 2000 V70R SOLD

I'm happy to report this car has been sold to a caring owner in the salt-free Pacific Northwest. Thanks for all the positive comments and emails.

For information, I thought I'd share the latest email "offer" I've had for the car, from just a few minutes ago. (It's been listed only on Swedespeed and Volvospeed.)
