Had to change the bulb the other day so I checked the owners manual and it was PY21W I think, but instead it was an 1157A. Is this just something volvo got wrong in the manual?

Pretty sure mine was an 1157A as well. Didn't check the manual.

Both are correct.lol. There was a problem with the turn signal sockets failing/corroding, so they switched to a different style with a different bulb. As to which came first, i dunno.
