This weekend I tried to get the front engine mount out of my 97 850. Proved perty much a pita. Is there an easy way to facilitate its removal? (not the mount by the crankshaft pulley.... the one by the cooling fan.)

Also found a deal of oil in the inter cooler. I do have a crankcase ventilation system swap planed for this. No oil at the weep hole on the bottom of the cooler either... Interesting.

Pre-Thanks y'all.

Re: Front engine mount removal. (DVolvoguy777)

I replaced that along with the small tranny torque amount (that was what Volvo called it).

I had to remove the fan shroud in order to take the old mount out from the top. One thing to be careful is that when you jack up the engine, please losing up the side engine mount (under crankcase pulley) and the rear hydraulic mount. Otherwise, you could tear these rubber mount while jacking up the engine too much to remove the old front hydraulic mount. That was what happened to me. I had to replace the side engine mount. I will replace the rear hydraulic mount later (under the firewall).

Hope this help.
