I currently own a 86 240, I was looking at changing the front end over to one of the front ends from the 70's with the single round headlight. has anyone had any sucess w/this modification. all imput is appreciated.

I had a 1975 that I put the engine and lights from a 79 in. I would think it's possible.

you can do the swap, but it would require different front fenders/hood/grill. been done before but usually from the older to the newer style. http://********************/smile/emthup.gif

I am sure it can be done, if you use the 70's style hood make sure you measure the hood clasp on the coresupport. I am not sure its the same as the later models. The headlight buckets from the oldschool Volvos will bolt right in.

Why do you want to change them? Are you going to use the round 4 headlights or the 75-80 style?

as stated, it is possible, but you need fenders, hood, rad core support, grille, headlight buckets, headlights, headlight trim.
