Ever since 2 weeks ago when my friend installed the sway bars, my car is veering very hard to the right. I am sure it needs to be aligned in the front end. Is this common after installing the sway bars or just coincidental? What am I looking at the repair this. The car actually doesn't veer too bad if you let go of the wheel, but if the wheel is perfectly straight the car takes a hard right rather quickly.

Re: Front end alignment costs (soledoc)

An alignment is mandatory after installing the sway bars. It cost me $60. I believe it is explained at IPD website as well.
How do you like the sway bars?
Ciao

Oh...I didn't know that. Thanks. My friend that installed them didn't tell me that. I do like the sway bars. Definitely makes taking corners more fun
I've got an appt. for Friday for the alignment...and an a/c recharge. The 100 degree heat is killing my a/c. Needs a recharge.

Re: Front end alignment costs (JRL)

What should I except to pay for an evaporator if that's the problem?

My AC does not work either, and I know it is between 1k to 1.5k to fix, so I am living without AC. However I live in CT where you need AC perhaps two months out of the year.... During the week-end I use my wife’s car LOL.
I've once did a search trough these forums, and it came up that someone in Virginia I believe would fix it for about $700, maybe you can look into it....
Good Luck!!!!!!
Ciao

Crap!! I have a feeling I may be looking at a big bill. Why did volvo make such a poor a/c? I know they filled my a/c with freon last year and now year later it's empty. That's not right. That was done at a non dealer. I'm taking it to the dealer this time. Maybe they'll have another solution. I don't want to dump $1000 into this car right now, although it's hot as [email protected]#$%^ right now At least I've got an '06 that blows cold a/c. If they can just recharge it with freon and get me through the summer, I could fix the a/c permanently next summer....if I still have this car. It's starting to piss me off again. Keep dumping money into it. A little here...a little there. You know how it is on a 100K mile volvo.
