Can anyone tell me what are the best aftermarket or OEM rotors and Pads for 95 850 turbo. what rotor and pads combination works without any complications or weird sounds..I have heard names like Brembo, Zimermann for rotors and PBR, KEVLAR, danblock ..do anyone of these make the VOLVO rotors and pads.

I guess these names are almost half price the VOLVO brand..
any help would be appreciated..

If you look in the Features/Project Cars section of Swedespeed under Project 854R, we installed a set of Powerslot rotors (slotted for additional cooling) and PBR pads. It got rid of the consistently warping nature of the R's brakes. I'd highly recomend that setup.

Replaced my rotors last year with brembo. Only about 2/3's of the cost of OEM Volvo rotors. Mind you, there is no extra cooling or even really any performance upgrade as far as I can tell from new OEM rotors, but they definately seem to be on par. Time will tell if they last as long. So far, so good.

If you have 17" rims or larger, you can fit the excellent AP big brake kit which is sold in the UK by Kalmar Union, and whoever in the US.

The Kalmar one is specifically set up for 850s and 70 series cars, so there isn't all the usual searching for shims, adaptors, etc. that you get from many aftermarket kits.

I've driven a club member's car with the kit fitted and it's a revelation - I wish I could afford one...

I just fitted an AP Performance Brakekit on my 850 T-5R and it's absolutely fantastic! Finally I got decent brakepower to coop with the 308HP my car is pushing at 1.3 bar.
