The first thing you want to consider with pedals is why you want them or how you intend to drive. If you're just looking for glitz, you only need to consider the appearance and and the obvious slippery foot issue. If you are thinking about tracking your car or any technical driving, you want to consider the size, shape, placement, and foot slippage.
For track type pedals you may find they get looking somewhat industrial. I used these OMP Rally ones and while they are functional, some find them to be ugly.
