Yeah, seems pretty accurate really.
Onlly thing I would say is that people seem to make a really big deal out of the turning radius thing, but I've honestly not had an instance yet where I felt truly put out or inconvenienced by it. Regular driving, wrong turns, parking lots, it simply hasn't been an issue, and I have really been waiting for it to be such after all the complaints I've read about the horrible turning radius etc.
Maybe it's just me, I don't know, but I don't see it as that big a deal. You learn how your vehicle works and you drive accordingly.
gb

What matters is that it has a bigger turning radius than a GMC Yukon!!!
You say you have never put out or inconvenienced by the poor turning radius... well I simply don't believe you.

Re: (steamboatsig)

Well steamboatsig I don't think it's any of our places to say if another person has been inconvenienced by the large turning radius since that's a matter of personal opinion. However I have noticed when I pull out of parking spaces it's not just straight out and to the right, then I go forward through the parking lot... it's a reverse, forward, & then another reverse before I can make it. It's for the record it only matters if it's an inconvenience to you, it does take a little extra caution but I've never felt inconvenienced by the radius - at least not yet.

Seriously, I am always cursing the turning radius of the R. Take for instance my local Wal Mart. When I pull in the main entrance, you have to either make a left or a right at the end of the lane. After going about 100', you have the opportunity to turn the opposite way to enter a short drive aisle to access the main parking. In other words, you're doing a 180. I cannot do this in the R without going completely across in front of oncoming cars. I either have to wait until no one is there, or pick a more distant parking lane, or turn around and come back down another aisle.
This is a manouver that I can easily do in my Pathfinder.
One of many examples.

I have to say that in almost 5k miles of driving and checking the dipstick frequently and never having to top off that almost 5.5 quarts came out of the sump. I say almost because I'm not sure exactly how much came out. I was pouring the used oil from my catch pan back into the 5 quart container that I buy from Wal Mart ($21.95) and I was holding onto the funnel and not paying attention to how full the container was. Next thing you know, oil all over the plastic drop cloth. I poured the rest into one of the one quarters and got about 1/4 full.
I hate taking the R to Wal Mart....between the turning radius and the yahoos in the parking lot...it's a nightmare.
Re: (MagoonR)

Costco sells Mobil One by the box for ~$25 (six one-quart bottles). Costco shoppers on the whole seem to be much better at safely returning their shopping carts to the cart corrals. From what I can tell, the "shopping cart derby" is considered to be the sport of choice in most/all Wal-Mart parking lots. Whenever I drive by a Wal-Mart I see shopping carts everywhere except for the cart corrals (in bushes, over curbs and *gulp* against cars). I'd rather spend a couple more dollars elsewhere than leave with a door ding. Target is my discount retailer of choice.
Scary...
- Tryg
