Volvo started about 2 weeks ago having a press event in the Bay Area. If you are in that part of the country, you're likely to see a bunch of XC90s on the road for about another week or two. The Euro plates I don't get though, I'd imagine these should have CA or NJ tags on them. Maybe it was a diplomat.
Yeah, the press drive sure increases the XC90 presence on the roads around SF. Actually, my wife (who also is a Volvo Cars employee) has a female colleague who is over there as a part of the Volvo team who explains to the journalists why the XC90 is so great. That is a SWEET job, I did it myself back in '98 when the C70 convertible was introduced in Phoenix, Arizona. It was great fun, El Nino served Arizona with its first blizzard for over 100 years when we were supposed to be cruising in our convertibles. Instead it was freezin in sub-40 temperatures
Hah, I remember some of the Volvo PR people telling us about that trip. Sounds pretty humorous if you can forget about all the money spent setting it up.
Man, I remember reading those reviews as well. Journalists were talking about how well the heaters worked in the C70 Vert while they were driving with the top down! Haha!
-Drew
