Hey guys. We're here at the show and will post updates on it when we have the chance. I am not sure when that will be though. I have no way to either get FTP access to the site or photos, so for now, it will have to be all text.
The PCC2 is here and pretty cool. Volvo for some reason chose not to do a press coference and I am not sure why. The car is very cool and I did take plenty of close up shots.
Also in the stand were the S80 executive which has body color cladding. It looks verz good, with the T6 optional wheels and the in car entertainment system.
Several D5 and bi-fuel models are here. The bi-fuels are actually cutaway which make for great shots.
The Ocean Race XC is here, though there is no sign of an Ocean Race V70. I fear that may not make it into production, though the wheels pictured on that car are here on a green V70 D5.
A V40 Sport is here, and does wonders for the visual appearance of the car. It's really too bad that car is not sold in the USA as it gives the 40-series such a more attractive look. I'd even settle for one without the HID headlights, T-4 motor and manual tranny...though it'd be a whole lot better if it had those too .
Last, the SCC and the PCC are also here, though the original PCC is not.
Oh, one other thing. I overheard an interesting mention of the Volvo SUV. It is still slated for Detroit, but I heard some executives from another brand mentioning that they should go by the Volvo booth to see if they had the new "Crossover". To be honest, I have not heard that name yet, but it is a rather fitting and clever take off of the Cross Country.
We were scheduled to talk to some Volvo execs today, but in light of things back home, that may not happen. I stopped by the booth and the people we were going to interview weren't there at the time, so we'll have to stop back.
I'll try to get Frankfurt coverage up ASAP, though it will have to wait until I get home, and my return time, scheduled for tomorrow, may be in limbo right now.
