For those who have Jim Lills or R Kelly CAI

I tried looking at these two threads but I couldn't find the answer I need

I'm now stuck in the middle of the project. I am having problem disconnecting the MAF and the intake pipe beyond the MAF. I tried twisting and pulling but still couldn't pull the Intake box with MAF out. I already unbolted all the bolts holding the airbox and lossen the big metal O "thing" that clamp both the MAF and the intake pipe. I just need a way to sepreate those two things. Thanks in advance!

Thanks everyone especially Johann. You saved my day.

My car was parked in the garage for a day before I did the intake work this evening and warm it with the hair dryer made it alot easier taking the MAF/airbox out.

Both of us misleaded eachother. I saw your pictures in your other thread that you took the whole airbox out when I started the thread so I thought you did disconnected the MAF and intake pipe. However, after seeing your other reply, you didn't take the airbox out but the dealer did. Anyway, the problem solved and there is no need to figure out who's fault that is.

it has a little trick to it. works cold or warm. once you have the 3 main bolts that hold the airbox down, have taken off the solenoid on the side, taken off the MAS sensor wireand loosened the clamp just behind the MAS then just grab and lift straight up on the front of the airbox. lift is straight and the MAS pops easily out of the hose it is in. install is just reverse fo this bryan

Great! Now everybody knows how to disconnect both the hose and MAF easier.
