*price drop* For Sale/Partout 2004 C70 with 1999 2.3L HPT motor $1000 OBO Maryland

Hey guys, this is sad....I'm ditching the C70. *Please read full description*

2004 C70 Ti Gray with off-white interior project car for sale. The car does NOT need much; however, we ended up getting a newer P1 C70 instead.

The good:
Low miles on the chassis and replacement motor (~125k)
Transmission shifts perfectly
Suspension feels great
CAR PASSED MARYLAND STATE INSPECTION before it was parked because of the top.
Exterior has very few dings; cleans up incredibly well and is a gorgeous color for this car
Originally a 2004 LPT but a 2.3L HPT motor and turbo has been swapped in from a 1999 C70
Motor runs perfect; needs nothing in the engine compartment besides a new battery
Has the LED tails, jewels, propous wheels, spare 16" steelies (not easy to find!) with winter tires
BRAND NEW TIRES - Literally, 25 miles on the tires
Top goes up and down
Interior trim swapped to gorgeous wood from that ugly base trim BS
Rare OEM windscreen included
Tons of P80 spare parts can be tossed your way
Drivetrainwise, this car needs very very little.

The not so good:
Propus wheels are curbed; one wheel is bent and leaks. Needs air every couple days
Fuel level is at empty all the time - Not that big of a deal tbh. Sending unit needs to be replaced; very easy job. Remove the rear seat and you can access the panel
Passenger seat needs wiring (the 2004 seat was torn. I replaced with a MUCH better 1999 seat. However, the plugs are different. You just need to look at the wiring diagram and repin the replacement seat. I have the original seat if you'd like it)
Passenger window regulator went bad; I replaced the regulator and did all the hard work. Now you just need to adjust the window to fit right.
Needs other little things like windhisled wipers, etc. Nothing else major besides what I've listed in this ad, to the best of my knowledge.

The really really not so good:
The top. This is THE ONLY REASON I'm ditching this car. The rear window failed. I replaced the top with a $50 used top that I pulled off craigslist; this was a mistake that I'm paying dearly for. This is a terrible terrible job to do and the replacement top was jacked up. I didn't realize until we were balls deep into the repair. The replacement top failed as well and I'm not doing that job again. Unfortunately, that means taking it to the shop....$2000 repair with a warranty from the shop. At this point, I've invested too much time and money into the vehicle. I'm selling at a loss; hell, the two sets of wheels and brand new tires are probably over half what I'm asking for this car. I just need it gone. Buy the car, replace the top or drop another $2k into it and have someone else replace the top and then adjust the window and you have a driver. Again, this car passed Maryland state inspection last year and was on the road until the top failed again. This is a reliable car that needs elbow grease.

I really really really don't want to part it out but I need it gone guys. Someone show up with cash in hand and take this thing and a lot of P80 parts and other goodies.

Sorry, I don't have any good pics unfortunately. Here's what I found....

Maryland inspection is good. Whoever gets it knows they’re getting a solid car.
Sometimes it’s better to realize and stop that to get any deeper. Hopefully someone snags it.

Yea man, this car has solid bones. I'm really bummed I'm ditching it but I just can't stomach that top job again.

I HATE cheap people and I wouldn't of been polite.

I am so glad that car went to you as you clearly know what you have. I think the painted areas alone at the time cost me $6K (you should have the receipts), 4 months in the body shop to make it look "perfect" and me driving them crazy! . Then when I took it in for PPF that was another interesting conversation which they ended up doing it for free bec I hated how they covered the front bumper. And I know all of these people very well and ..... they know me :)

Sorry, back to your thread before nostalgia kicks in!
