Has anyone had a problem with the fog lights on there S60? In the first 2 weeks I had my car both cracked, one was shatered by a rock, but the other one cracked right down the middle. Thing is too they are so damn expensive to replace.
~Spencer~

Isn't it worth it to claim them or your deductible is too high?
Yannis

Spencer,
I would highly recommend you and anyone with a S60/V70 to use StonGard or something similar by 3M-etc. to protect those foglight lenses. Like you said, they are just too darn expensive to replace. I know the A4/S4 folks over at AudiWorld swear by that product.

-Drew
[This message has been edited by InDy (edited 02-04-2002).]

Spencer,
Take Drew's advice. I use a similar urethane product on my '01 XC that covers the headlamps, foglights, and front portion of the hood. It works like a charm. http://i3.yimg.com/3/7b27d605/g/0/fe6c1e2e.jpg http://i3.yimg.com/3/7b27d605/g/0/5f5e1a0a.jpg

[This message has been edited by Art (edited 02-04-2002).]

We have tried several products at our dealership (hood protection) including two different films from 3M and they looked like crap. There was another company who installed one on one of our courtesy cars; it looked fairly good but the guy went out of business and we lost track of him...

Yannis

I had the dealer install the film before taking delivery of the car so I don't know the name of the product. You may want to check with your own dealer. However, there is a company that specializes in a similar type of protective film kit. Here is the link to their site: http://www.xpel.com/headlight/applications.html
I'll repost the forum thread that contains the pics of my car here. Hope you'll be able to view them now: http://www.v70xc.com/cgi-bin/ikonboard/topic.cgi?forum=1&topic=140
