first off...what is the proper name for the shrouding that surrounds the fog lights?<p>second, where can I order a set of them (slotted)? I understand that some of them came with slots already in. Mine, on the other hand, is not transparent.<p>thx.

Are you looking for the "Fog Lamp Grill"?? I am going to sand them smooth tomorrow and paint them. I will take a photo for opinions, but I think I am going to end up buying the pair, just because I know they are a "perfect" cut. <p>OCD maybe?! <IMG NAME="icon" SRC="http://www.vwvortex.com/vwbb/wink.gif" BORDER="0">

Will do! I was thinking about cutting mine out as well and save a few bucks....but I'll prob. end up ust ordering the new ones that are already done as well

.... I think the OEM is dark grey and I'm pretty sure the 'Euro ' ones are black and the plastic is a little different.....

I just got these from John, and I couldn't be more pleased. Darker black (opposed to charcoal) than the stock grills, and adds a meaner look to the front of the car. i ordered mine two days ago and cannot wait to put them on. and to think i was about to spend $110/pair from somewhere else. much thanks to john for jumping in!!!!
