so was walking out of gym and saw that the fog light was missing. Got under the car and there it was hanging down by the power wires. Luckly it never touched the ground and was not scratched. Looks like all the bolts were missing. I have it taken out right now. Anyone know of a sketch or diagram i can see to see what size the bolts are?

Re: Fog light falls out (thorne)

it's probably more likely the plastic bracket that holds the light in place broke, and it usually breaks where the bolts hold the light on, unfortunately.<p>Both of mine are tanked, but twist ties keep them securely locked in place.

I had something similar happen and IIRC bolts are similar to the ones that close the air filter box but are just shorter.

The whole thing fell out?? There's a pair of tabs and screws, you'll need both. Good luck too, I had hardest time getting mine back in, apparently you're supposed to remove the entire bumper to get it back in.

They are held on by a metal tab and the screw. You have most likely lost the tab. I would suggest using a nut and bolt for a more secure installation.

I had the same problem with both fog lights, lost grivers side and the fluid resivior for winsheid wasr kept the passengers from falling out which also made it harder to repair that side. I recomend taking off the bumper (its easy and makes repairing correctly easy also). Go get some REAL locking nuts and blots, I also used some lock tight for peace of mind, and forget about the factory method. The metal retainers appered never to have be penetrated by the bolts in my car. Also since the bupmer is off, do both sides. good luck, Brian
