Does anyone know where I can find bright-white bulbs for our fog lights. I thought they were the standard H3 bulbs and ordered some and come to find out the bulbs are not H3 and don't fit. Dealers only carry the standard OEM replacements which are not bright-white.
Sorry for posting this here instead of the S60 forum but more people here have fog lights than those at the other forum.
You can get bright white H1 bulbs just about anywhere. The fogs on my Benz used them. Not the best prices, but illustrates my point ... there are really SEVERAL brands to choose from out there:
http://www.optionsauto.com/products.asp?dept=347

Re: (blackTT55)

Like I said, my MB SLK230 used H7 Headlamp bulbs and H1 foglamp bulbs. You will see them (H1's) listed for "headlights", but are used in many OEM foglamps as well.

Another good place to get bulbs is http://www.inlinefour.com/lighting.html and bulbs that i have used and recommend are PIAA, Rabrig, and Kioto ( i think thats how you spell it) they all have super white and plasma white and i have used them all since getting my prelude in 99.

Re: (Token Blk Guy)

H-1 bulbs are used not only for headlights, they have been used for driving or fog lights for years. I have an old round fog light that is at least 20 years old, and it uses the H-1 bulb. If I recall, that was one of the first Halogen bulbs ever sold.

Re: (wizzard_al)

Sorry to come in so late...but i replaced my fog light bulbs with Sylvania H3 ST's on my 05 and my 06 R. At night...they match the color almost perfectly with the HID's. The DRL's with fogs are yellowish over white.
I got them at a local auto store for 21.00 each. Bitch to put in as the fog lamp housing is so low and a weird angle. Be patient and try not to touch the bulb - so it won't burn out faster.
thx
-s-
