I drive an s80 but htis happened to me two weeks ago.
My one tire cost me $260 so i went ahead and only replaced one. I dont know what your tread life is like on the other tires but at 4,000 you should be ok. It all depends on how much you wanna spend
Dont you love the steelt spare they put on there that maxes out at 50mph:eek:

it all depends on tread depth at this point. if you have very little tread wear, you can probably get away with replacing one...if not, then 2. but you certainly don't have to replace all 4.

just to clarify my previous post. You should absolutely be able to only replace that one tire so long as you have driven those 4K miles like a normal person. BUT, if they are the ones that came on the car then they are horrible tires.

Dont you have the tire and rim insurance that you can buy from Volvo?
If so Volvo will replace it for free I think.
I just sprung for new Eagle F1 GS D3 I think they are and they ride really well and side hop is vertually gone.
Sweet tire also has rim protection to boot.
http://www.goodyeartires.com/e....html

Re: FLAT TIRE (drpie)

If you have the resources the obvious answer is the PS2. It's not necessarily the best performance tire for a street car (although many argue it is) but I think it is the best street performance tire for the R. The same tire is hated by the Audi RS4 crowd yet they like the P-Zero Rossos which tells me no matter what the intrinsic qualities of a tire are you have to consider data on how they perform in a specific application (e.g., model.)

Quote, originally posted by drpie »

what should i replace them with assuming i have the resources???

Mich AS sport
Mich PS2
F1
are the top 3 choices. all are too close to call and all would be leaps and bounds better than what you have.

Re: (R_Rated)

Got the ps 2s and do notice a difference. Not bad for $900.Somebody should start a class action suit;the Pirellis are terrible.Less "hop" with the Michelins.
