My car was in a front end collsion with minor damage to the bumper cover and driver's side quarter panel. I just got it back from the body shop and the service light has been flashing nonstop while driving it today.
I have already disconnected the battery, waited, then reconnected it. That didn't help.
I also used the OBD to reset the service light, which turned it off while the car was running, but when I shut it off, then restarted the car the service light was flashing again.
I haven't been able to find much on this problem. Anyone know what this means?
Thank you for you help.

Re: flashing service light (gdill2)

I saw this link and know how to reset the light. It did reset and turn off after I went through the procedure but came back after I restarted the car.
Usually the service light comes on and is illuminated constantly (which I have seen and reset before). My current problem is a FLASHING service light...flashing on and off constantly and is unable to be reset.
So what is wrong with my car if anything?

Clearly, the service light monkey that lives under the drivers side quarter panel is now pissed at you!
Never heard of one flashing but I assume you checked the owners manual for an explanation?

If it is just the service light and you keep track of your oil changes, you could just remove the light bulb. Just a thought.
