Have heard that '04 was the only year for flash green SRs... is this true, and if so, how many were there made?

They were also made in 2005.... but VERY few

I read some time ago on this forum a post that told how many R's and what colors were made by year. I searched, but no luck.

My wife wasn't very warm to flash green, but she did love the interior color (Nordkap). I find it a very nice color combo... not a big fan of the flash green/Atacama combo. After a while she now likes the exterior color as well.

I think ideally she would have liked Laser Blue on Nordkap, and I tend to agree.

Being that sonic blue(lazer blue is a gen 1 v70r color) was an 06 color, i imagine someone would love to trade you their 04 flash green. ;)

I believe they made them in 2003 as well, just not in the USA. JRL?

You're probably referring to the fact that Europe does model years differently. Typically in the US, an '04 could have been made in '03 or '04. While in Europe (and other parts of the world), if it was made in '03 than it is an '03.

I think europe actually got the early production 03s before they were avail here as 04s. The cosmos blue 03Rs in europe would lead me to believe that, at least.

I wonder how many R's were made in 07 or did they stop production in 06?

In Russia I've seen two flash Green, both 03 with M66:thumbup:

I own a 04 Flash Green VR...manual. It was just sitting in this woman's driveway here in Seattle. Less than 40K miles, got it for $5K under Blue Book ;) LOVE IT.

Question though: how do you know if it's an early 03 or 04 model?

Check your stickers for production date. I think</> it's in the door sill.

I have an '04 FG S60R, manual, 40k miles, bought it from my father in law three months ago, who took meticulous care of it, I have all the records. However, after driving it to Nashville, where we moved, and finding a local shop to work on it, they inform me that only the front left wheel is getting power and that it has to be either the angle gear or the trani that is out. They think it is the trani since they aren't getting any noise from the angle gear when spinning the drive shaft. I talked to another shop today that said the transmissions are bullet proof and they don't think it could be the trani, but they haven't had it up on the lift. I see them on Tuesday. I'm a 240 guy so this is my first foray into Folvos. Thoughts?
