And who said Volvo couldn't make a badass car!? Okay...so it took Kai's sick imagination to concoct this beast (and of course fork out the dough) but it's killer IMHO! <BR>It's real fun to drive behind it at night.<BR>About the AVC-R.<BR>I have some doubts about the system, yes, but that mainly because it seems to be a tricky device which can cause a lot of damage when the settings are used in a wrong way.<BR>I just was wondering if it gave you a lot of trouble installing it and if the logging functions are indeed as nice as the brochure wants you to believe.<BR>By now I've learned that the world above 325 HP takes a different approach and directs you to the dark side of aftermarket turbo's, pistons, rods, ECU's and stuff.<BR>To be honest, I am asking because I am working on a Nissan 6 cylinder engine and I am thinking about building a hybrid T03/04 on it.<BR>A device like the AVC-R could be a nice gadget.<BR>Maybe it would suit my Volvo also..... <P>And yes, dyno on Wednesday!

Are you going to do a twin setup? Just slap two 2835GT HKS GT series turbos instead. Or if it's a single turbo you are looking for, get a T78 or T88 with ceramic ball bearing. The MKII is running high boost on a standard turbo, 3"downpipe, no cat and open pipe to the back with one freeflow muffler.<BR>It uses a BOV and has a modified airbox.<BR>Rica installed a 4 stage selectable ECU with one very agressive programm at stage 4.<BR>Stage one cuts back on pressure, stage 2 in standard Volvo, stage 3 is standard Rica tuning for the R engine.<BR>Estimates is around 310 engine but is runs real fast.<BR>He cracked a gearbox, or the diff actually, already which worried me but after investigation it seems that the S60 gearbox is an evolution of this type.(M56LK while normally it's a M56L)<BR>It seems that only the diffs vary between 3.77, 4, 4.25 amongst the model range.<BR>The die casting of the S60T5 box seems heavier also.<BR>So far everything is doing well but I need a little smoother midrange.<BR>About the Nissan, It's not an RB :-(<BR>Just a L28ET and my goal is between 250-300 to start with.<BR>The big stuff is way to expensive over here and a twin seems to be very difficult to realize.<BR>I also need a programmable ECU which costs a small fortune also.
