The backstory: During my search for the Laser, I happened across this in 2017. A younger guy in PA had bought it and thrown a bunch of elevate parts at it, and then took off the oil filter housing over a bump. Catastrophic engine failure, he paid for a shop to replace the engine in 2016 and then I think he got disillusioned with the running costs. I purchased and spent the next few years getting it just how I wanted it. I've since moved to FL into what's likely to be our "forever home" and there's no garage or hope of one, and we can walk everywhere, so 3 cars sitting outside in the FL sun and rain just don't make sense anymore. I love the car and I haven't cheaped out on anything. Will scan and upload all my documentation in the next few days, but there are pages & pages of invoices for parts & labor. Recently drove it from DC -> FL and the a/c got flaky, so I just yesterday had the compressor replaced, it's blowing 37 degrees now.

Overall: Fantastic condition IMO. It shows well, it drives well, it's reliable, it's quick, and it's fun. I took it to one track day at summit point, drove it there & back from DC without issue, then it more or less stayed parked until I drove it to FL. It's been sitting in my driveway with a bag of damprid in it. The only thing I think it needs is the back glass retinted, it's starting to bubble in the FL sun.

Things I've done to the car (or have receipts from previous owner for):
Unfortunately C30Crew is down so I can't link to my writeups, but...
Maintenance/Cosmetics - $9,600 worth
- New engine in 6/2016, came from a 2013 C70 Vin YV1672MC2DJ138560
Unfortunately I don't have the mileage of that engine, maybe it can be looked up by VIN?
  • New floor mats & cargo net
  • Replaced the infamous sunroof drain tubes
  • 18" Midirs refurbished in black with machined faces (looks like C70 Wheels I'm told?)
  • Michelin Pilot Sports AS/3 installed 3/2017
  • New Front Lip Spoiler because I was a parking idiot on day 1 of ownership
  • PDR done multiple times, there are no obvious dents/dings at the moment
  • LeatherSeats.com custom perforated black w/charcoal inserts
  • AutoVox X1 Front & Rear Dashcam/Backup Camera Mirror

The Good: All professionally-installed parts, passed VA safety & emissions every year from 2017-2021 when I last tested (can switch to stock tune using elevate handheld). Long ago I was a 4x ASE-certified mechanic but most everything was done by professional shops anyway. Brand new ice cold a/c, good tires, great looking, unique, reliable car. This car is comfortable and carefree enough to let your grandma drive it across the country.

The Bad: The tint on rear glass is starting to bubble. Were I to keep it I would pull all tint and have it redone so everything matches. It's possible there's a minor ding somewhere because I haven't looked at it much, but generally speaking I got it PDR'd any time something showed up.

The Ugly: Nothing. Other than tint there's nothing I'd do to this car, because any time something came up, I did it. From little stuff like washer nozzles to PDR, wheel refurbish, etc...it's been well cared for.

The attached pictures are just a small subset of the google photos album linked above. You can also see my instagram @M66Swedes. All of the documentation I have is at this link.

Let me know if I can answer any questions. Email is preferred). Thanks for looking!
