How did u install the helios, like how were the capicitors attached. How hard was it? How long did it take? Did the car give a bulb warning or anything?
TIA

The car looks great!
In reference to the aftermarket HIDs:
Yup – I think there are more than a few people (from what ive seen looking around at some old posts) interested in doing HID on the ‘I’s as well as some who did not order them with the T5.
As such:
Any pictures of the install?
Did you need to cut the housing as I have seen some have to do?
How is the pattern and intensity compared to stock?
Glare?
Any issues at the dealership?
Any of the dreaded buzzing?
Etc etc

CH

Thank you for all of your compliments.
I don't have any pictures of the install but I can say it is very easy just prep for the job first. It took me a good 4 hours to do this because all i had was a knife. At first the bulb did not light up at the same time because i didnt have the capacitors but once those were installed it was a synch. I just simply looped the wire around the plugs and then plugged the whole setup into where the stock bulb was.
My badges are taken off and ever since i took it off people mistaken it for a BMW!!!
I did have to cut it the housing, the pattern is straight off the wall and much brighter. My car is lowered so when i drive on the highway people think I am flashing them sometimes lol. No buzzing but the dealership was not too happy about it. I suggest you get your DRLs turned off before you do this because my HIDs are on all the time. Great improvement and look of my car.
