It looks fantastic! You have the exact same setup I do (Except I have Four-C, so I have to use the stock struts). It'll settle out quite a bit more than that over the next month or two. Also, I love the Venators, and I love the pearl white!

Beautiful S80 and congrats on the upgrades! I haven't seen any of the 2nd gen S80s in pearl white. Our gen 1 S80 is pearl but the gen 2 is Saville Grey. The pearl looks fantastic on your car!

Enjoy!

The pearl was only available on the 09 and 10 V8 models, and now the 14 and 15. They're two different shades of pearl white, though. This pic shows the new shade. This is a pic I took of a 2014 S80 that I saw at Volvo's headquarters.

The car in the above pic has the 19" BOR wheels, along with the dynamic suspension. The dynamic suspension is significantly lower from the factory, as you can see. It's not nearly as low as the above mentioned springs will make the car, though.

This thread also reminds me that despite the fact that I never liked chrome wheels, once I bought my S80 with the chrome Venators, I have found that they REALLY fit the character of the S80. I always had an absolute hatred for chrome wheels and that they were unnecessarily garish. I just think with the chrome accents on our cars, and the simple design of the wheels, they look fantastic. If mine didn't come with them, I don't think I would have ever given them a chance, so I'm very glad it did. People compliment me on the Venators all the time. Even when I was at the Volvo owners day at Volvo's headquarters, some of the employees there raved about how much they loved those wheels back when they were available.

^Thanks for posting that pic! Something about the body lines on that car and the pearl just work!

Didn't know the pearl was that rare. Definitely one of the reasons I got the car. Now just need to mess with the exhaust. By the way, I read elsewhere that someone said you need to drill out the old struts to install the koni fsd. This is not the case, it was a full swap, not too hard.

The pearl white that you have was made in very limited numbers, and only on the S80 V8 and XC90 V8. Because of the complexity of the paint process, they could only produce a finite number of pearl white cars in the factory in Torslanda. I don't remember what the number was, but it wasn't many. The new pearl white color is readily available and they are putting it on a lot of cars. It seems they have worked out the paint process to make it easier and faster. Volvo's paint colors are awesome. I absolutely love the Ember Black on my car. In normal lighting conditions it looks like plain black. In bright sunlight, it develops a brownish tint. My coworkers call it "Root beer metallic."

Oh, and the above pic should give you a good idea of how much your springs will settle out. Your front springs still have quite a bit of settling to do.

Just got back from driving about 300 miles, looks lower to me.

By the way, I got a new set of tires, Michelin Pilot Sport AS3, they are great and highly recommend them. Very sporty but should still last a while.

I agree with you on Chrome wheels, I have always hated them. I found these on eBay for a great price, the wheels that came on it were all rashed. These seem to be a higher quality chrome than other wheels I've seen, but fits well with the amount of chrome thats on the car.

I also have the same tires! I was actually forced to buy them while on a trip to Detroit this year because I hit a pothole and had two blowouts. The only tires I could find locally in the correct size (that werent cheap crappy chinese tires) were the Michelins, so that's what I went with.

Though my car came with the Venators from the factory, having the resource of the cheap ones on ebay has been great. I've bent somewhere around 6 of them over the past two winters because of crappy roads, so having access to them so inexpensively has been great. I hope that guy doesn't run out of them. Initially, I bought 4 spares, but I blew through those pretty quickly. LOL

The finish on them is excellent. They hold up excellently and don't seem to corrode in the winter as long as you keep the salt off of them. One recommendation is to pop off the center cap and clean in the space under it. That's where I have found the corrosion to be on the oldest wheels in my set.

If it's wheelsource, he is officially out. I needed to buy one and he said he had 2 left. They were not in new condition though, lots of scratches and one had a dent. Apparently Volvo had an overrun and he had about 680 Volvo wheels (a combination of styles).

Bummer. I just got one from him back in Feb when I bent my last one. I have saved all of my bent ones, so I can always have those straightened.
