Found a great little shop here in South San Francisco. Their prices were very good and the guy even included a wash and wax. He ran out of time, but he was also going to touch up some chips for free. I'm going to bring it back to him to have the bumper trim painted. All in All I'm happy with the tint job. Its a little darker than I wanted, but the pictures make it look a lot darker than it is.
20% all around. (illegal in Cal, but lets hope I don't get stopped).
Before:

After: (sorry for the crappy Iphone pics)

Re: (cmurphy2266)

The install place included a warranty for the front window. If I get a ticket (to fix it) they will remove the tint in the front for free.
I was going to go 30% all around, but they ran out. I don't really like the split % that most cars have. I thought an all around would look so much better with the Sap. Black.

The windshield may only be tinted down to the AS-1 line, which is usually located in the uppermost (6) inches of the windshield.

Re: (The Weasel)

Being stopped by the cops for illegal tint only is probably not going to happen. More than likely, it will be an "add-on" charge after you've been stopped for something else (a moving violation), after an accident where you were at fault, or as a pretext to do a dui/drug check.

Re: (wdodge52)

I agree. I was pulled over in my Audi, that also has 20% all around, on I5 for speeding. I made sure to roll the windows down before the cop got to the car. He never saw the tint.

Yep. They generally don't stop you specifically for tint but they may also write a ticket for that if they stop you for something else.

Quote, originally posted by GGV70R »

I agree.
