Re: Few Recent Mods (nelson)

Pedals for manual are Volvo Part #30748859-3. They also make an automatic pedal kit though not sure on the number. Gas pedal is a direct fit, need to remove some metal from the clutch and brake since these are smaller pedals. Easy in my opinion to modify, dremel, sand edge, slide new pedal on. Brass shifter bushings I got off Ebay, several sets on there now. Was not surprised how worn the old rubber bushings were on the linkages. Should be a stage 0 mod.
Re: Few Recent Mods (WildC70)

No problem.
1. Module can be setup to tilt mirror in reverse. I chose to go with programming option 2 and set it up for double pulse tilt. This means that I shift into reverse, neutral, reverse the mirror tilts. Take it out of reverse and several seconds later it goes it the normal position. My overall opinion of mod after several weeks is fantastic.
2. Made the relay pack. You need 3 relays and 2 one amp or greater diodes. Wiring diagram is located on http://www.the12volt.com if you want to make one yourself. I also have several premade that can be purchased for 30 shipped US, and 35$ outside. Pretested with instructions included.
3. Memory module that goes back to last setting before ignition is turned off. So if your traction control was off, then it will automatically turn off when car is started. If it was on, then of course it will stay on. Module can be use for a variety of applications.
Both the mirror tilt and memory module can be purchased through kptechnologies. I bought some rebranded modules from a reseller for a few dollars less. I have more mods in the works, but wanted to share what has been done so far. Instructions on any of my mods are available so adding them to your car is a walk in the park.

are the relay packs plug and play or do you need to splice into factory wiring(or into the aftermarket wiring harness)?

Re: (db130)

I soldered my connections behind the radio, and one wire out of the door harness for the driver's door trigger. These of course could be crimp capped or quick connects, but I am old school and like to solder. Should take a person 15 minutes to install.

Re: Few Recent Mods (Papa_Kirlo)

The C30 Sport pedal kit are aluminum slip on covers no different than probably the rubber ones on your current pedals. Pedals for manual are Volvo Part #30748859-3. I got them off ebay for around 55$, not sure if that was a good deal or not. If you are going to do this mod then I would suggest these steps for success:
1. Buy the pedal kit
2. Make a small thin template to mark the new pedals(instructions come with pedal outlines. You will need to enlarge it though approximately .25" in scale to fit.
3. Mark the clutch and brake pedal(align template onleft side of clutch, right side of brake, I might be reversed there can't seem to remember, but you will understand in the doing, this is to make sure the covers do not interfere with the metal bracket on the backside)
4. Dremel and sand edge
5. Slip on new covers and enjoy
I did not need the plastic brackets that come with the kit to make them fit snug, since I cut the pedals just right. Accelerator pedal is a perfect fit with no modifications. Kit is also available for automatics.

Re: Few Recent Mods (MKC70)

I guess they do make aluminum aftermarket pedals for the C70? VIVA performance? IPD? EST?
Why especially the C30 pedals? Smaller?

I like the look of the OEM pedals better is all. Cost was $55 for the set which was brand new.

Re: Few Recent Mods (adale)

Made the plug, then painted it with Volvo spray paint to match. I was very surprised that the color matched so well. Antenna is from Amazon.
