My new wheels arrived in Cali today so I'm listing a feeler for my previous wheels to see if anyone is interested. Wheels and tires have 3,000 miles on them. SSR VF1 Super Black Coat Finish (100 bucks extra a wheel) with carbon fiber center caps (50 bucks extra.) 18x8.5 all around 5x108 lug. Wheels are wrapped in Yokohama S-Drive tires.
The Good: Needs no hub centric rings as they were designed specifically for a S40 hub. I'm not sure on the offset but they are FLUSH.
The Bad: I have KW V2 coilovers on the car and do experience heavy rubbing on the rears when i have a full car. One wheel has a curb about the size of a quarter on it. (It is the front right wheel if you keep the tires mounted the same)
Pics:

Looking for atleast 1800 plus shipping. Expensive, i know, but keep in mind this is a setup that retails for just over 4k. Their is less than a handful of people that own SSR VF1's in SBC finish in the United States.

They are nice wheels for sure! I'm not in the market for wheels right now though, have too many already. I am wondering how you like your V2s and if you have had any issues (besides rubbing) with them? Installation hard? Adjustment?
My buddy and I are going to install mine as soon as my replacement rear springs show up, just wanting to be prepared.

Re: (carreragt7)

Coilovers are a pain in the ass install, and are not exactly what you would call easy to adjust. If i could go back in time I would probably stick with my Evolve springs, but what's done is done. I like them, but wouldn't pay full retail for them again i would pick up a used set like you did. Hope this helps.

Si Senor! Gracias!
Any pics of your new wheels? I like these old ones alot, curious to see how the new ones change your car's look, especially after the recent 'changes' you've done.

Re: (carreragt7)

No pics yet. They finally cleared customs from Japan this morning in California. They were shipped to Texas around 12:00 today. Should have pics of them on the car by Saturday or Sunday. Only real difference is it's a mesh style wheel now, and 10 inch rears rather than 8.5. My wheel guy said via phone the rears have 4 inches of lip from the step. Between the new tips, and new wheels this S40 is gonna have one of the meanest asses you have seen.

Re: Feeler Thread: Wheels (Mach_T5)

Saw these wheels in person and they are NICE! Offset is about +40 +42. If you set a little neg camber (-1.8ish) in the back you will have minimal rubbing.

I originally bought the wheels for my V70R which i sold so i'm going to squeeze them on the S40 with some light rolling and serious camber hopefully.

They only have 3,000 miles on them i would say 70 percent tread left. This is not my DD so wear and tear on this car is minimal. When i drive it to shows i go as far as to tape up the whole front bumper with painter's tape!

Tempting..... Very very tempting. Plus a weekend trip to Houston would be awesome.... Let me look at my finances a bit more in depth.
Especially considering my OEM tires are almost bald and I'm about to drop 750 on new tires.....

Re: (S40DaB)

Do it S40DaB! Those wheels would look sick on your black car! And the price is super reasonable. It looks like Mach takes really good care of his car stuff so I am sure they are pristine.

S40Dab (Darren if i remember correctly) It would be great if you could pick these wheels up so i don't have to ship them. We can make a night out of it in Houston bud!
Update on the MS1's guys they will be here in Texas Saturday. 235 fronts 275 rears Nitto Invos.

Re: (Mach_T5)

Nice! You'll have to let me know how you like the Invos, I just got Neo Gens on my car today actually. Got them for a great deal locally. Seem nice so far, but a 2 mile drive on them isn't a good test.
