We met up with Sean at the Carlisle Import Auto Show and had a chance to take a closer look at his car. You can find the article on our main page as of Monday morning.

Actually, while on that topic...Anyone ever post those group shots of us with the cars? Also would love to see how my 850 looked on the balance beam thing, didn't 1FASTBOX take some pictures of that? <P>Prospero

I took about 1 1/2 rolls of pictures at Carlisle. About half were from the Volvo section, and the other half were other parts of the show (haven't had the second roll developed yet). I was hoping to have them scanned by now, but I ran into some computer problems. I'll bring them with me this saturday to the import show at GMU.<P>

I have the pic of you on the balance table developed and will scan it this week as well as the some of the group shots, but I do not have the one with all the drivers with the cars. Will send them to your email.

Darrelly, I agree. The car looks amazing. You could really tell just how dark those wheels were, as there was another 850 with Titans there at Carlisle as well. There are more pics of the car in the Carlisle section. The gallery is kind of hosed java wise for anything above 16, we're working on that, but you can either right click and connect to the link or you can go into an image lower than 16 and use the forward button.

Sean, (1FASTBOX)<P>You have a beautiful car! That is probably the nicest looking T-Gul T5-R that I have seen. Congrats, I know it takes a lot of hard work to keep a car looking that nice. It is destined to become a classic. <IMG SRC="http://www.swedespeed.com/ubb/smile.gif"><P>-Drew

Thanks for all the nice comments on the car guys. That is quite the comparison between engine compartments! Thanks as well to George great job on the pics and write up on the car. I will send you an email regarding the info you requested this weekend, I have had problems with my home pc all week. The only additions to the write up are that I went with the SCT 3 inch downpipe/race cat and rear high flow system instead of the Supersprint. There will be more to come possibly my burnout pics and video as well as more upgrades.

Sean,<BR> Just wondering what caused you to deter from the Supersprint system? I am still thinking about which system it is that I want and am looking for input. Also, just to add to the compliment list, the car is sweet. I'll give you $50K for it...(maybe one day <IMG SRC="http://www.swedespeed.com/ubb/wink.gif"> ) Seriously, thanks for giving the 850's such a great image at the show. The reason for the choice of SCT over Supersprint had two issues. First is the fact it was taking so long to get and the second was the fact they were not willing to put a second O2 sensor hole in it, you would think for all that coin they would do such a small thing for a customer. It would have been a total of 2 months before I would recieve it and I needed it now! The SCT system was imported in a shipment of three systems and was here allready at our sister Volvo dealer. 850Rwagon go to the site <A HREF="http://www.sct-tuning.com" TARGET=_blank>www.sct-tuning.com</A> and <A HREF="http://www.volvotuning.com" TARGET=_blank>www.volvotuning.com</A> for a selection of exhausts, the SCT pipe looks and performs awsome! Huge difference! I will get my pics of the stock and SCT system side by side and you will see the huge difference, the SCT pipe looks like it is eating the stock pipe for lunch. One last thing the SCT pipe does not come super polished, looks ok but I spent a few hours on it and got it looking very good.

Yep it is for your second O2 sensor, last night confirmed one of the thoughts I had on the mounting of the holes side by side in the front pipe before the cat. The purpose of the second O2 is to measure the efficency of the cat, if the O2 sensors are side by side how can it do that? So last night my engine light came on I had code 443 TWC efficiency. I cleared the code and went for a hard drive and it did not return, but I think it will. Not a big deal I will remove the pipe and get a new hole installed after the cat for the second O2. By the way the pipe comes with three holes, the 2 for the O2 sensors and a third up at the top for those with air pumps. Got my grill from IPD and had it painted to match the wheels looks very trick!

Sean, I was just wondering why you chose to buy the downpipe from SCT instead of just custom make one locally?<BR>I would imagine you can get one made for much less money.........

I did not look into having one made to much due to the lack of custom shops and I am very picky with how it is constructed and how it looks and the most important performance. The people at SCT have put research and development into the pipes to get them just perfect, I did not want to be a test pilot for anyone let alone myself. For my car I need everything perfect and the exhaust is one of those things.

Sean:<BR>Yeah..I see what you are saying about a lab rat for things like that. Just for your note, though...I don't think any company REALLY spent R&D on things like that. Especially, SCT..just don't have much faith in companies like these.<BR>But if you don't have any custom shop locally, it is the best route regardless.<BR>Everything perfect, eh?
